Marine Lipids

The course is offered every second year, next time spring 2019. The course will give a short introduction to lipid chemistry with a focus on marine lipids. The processing and technology development for extraction and purification of marine lipids will also be covered. Different analytical techniques used to determine lipid quality will be discussed. An overview of the relationship between marine lipids and health will also be given.

The aim of the course is to give students good knowledge of challenges related to the exploitation of marine lipids.

Study groups. The course will be given in English if necessary. If too few students sign up for the course, it might be cancelled.
