Molecular and Cellular Bioinformatics

The course is given every other year, next time Autumn 2010. The course provides an introduction to how advanced bioinformatic and systems biology methods may be used to analyse complex data from molecular biology at a molecular and cellular level. The students will learn about essential methods and applications through lectures and paper presentations. They will also learn how to use relevant methods through exercises and project work. The course content may to a certain degree be adjusted according to research interests and background knowledge of the participants.

The aim of this course is to provide the students with a good understanding of important methods and strategies in systems biology projects, including bioinformatic methods.

Lectures, presentation and discussion of journal papers, exercises and project work under the guidance of the course leader(s). In case of postponed exam or few students, the exam can be changed from written to oral. The course will be given in English if necessary.
