Master Thesis - Major in Strategy and Leadership

The master thesis is an independent piece of work finalizing the master education. The thesis is expected to fulfil requirements of relevance and students are expected to contribute to new knowledge.

Knowledge:

Demonstrate significant insight into relevant and updated research literature and theories for the presented research question.

Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in relevant research methods.

Skills:

Know how to formulate research questions, find and use relevant literature, set up and follow an appropriate research design to collect data, analyze and draw well thought conclusions based upon the research process.

General competence:

Under supervision know how to plan and implement an independent research project in line with accepted research ethical norms within a given time and resource framework.

Through the work on the master thesis develop ability to critically reflect on own and others work, including ability to assess theoretical and practical implications of a variety of research- and project reports.

The master thesis is an independent research project under academic supervision. A supervisor will be appointed based on submitted project proposal. The thesis should be handed in in groups of maximum two students or independently.
