Content

The thesis must satisfy requirements of relevance and is expected to acquire new knowledge that targets specific goals or applications.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate significant insight into relevant and updated research literature and theories for the presented research question
  • Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in relevant research methods

Skills:

  • Know how to formulate research questions
  • Find and use relevant literature
  • Set up and follow an appropriate research design to collect data
  • Analyze and draw conclusions based upon the research process

General Competence:

  • Under supervision know how to plan and implement an independent research project in line with accepted research ethical norms.
  • Through the work on the master thesis develop ability to critically reflect on own and others work, including ability to assess theoretical and practical implications of a variety of research- and project work.

Teaching methods

The master thesis is an independent work under supervision. Allotment of supervisor will take place after the project draft is turned in. The master thesis is written individually or with a fellow student (i.e., max 2 students).
