Artistic Process

In this course the students will explore issues related to artistic work, research, processes in projects. Economic conditions and sustainable possibilities are addressed with regard to the planning and realisation of artistic activities. Reading and writing skills are further developed.

In the Autumn semester, students are required to participate in two elective courses that connect the relevance of materiality and subject matter with reflection and contemporary art practices.

Students in the Artistic Entrepreneurship track will participate in one elective and in BK2410 Artistic Work Placement.

When finishing the course the student will be able to:

• develop writing skills through reading, note taking, analysis and experimenting with different textual formats.
• develop an artistic practice in conversation with supervisors and peers.
• argue for and articulate choices in terms of methods, materials, form giving and context.

Participation in technical and thematic workshops and collaborative projects.

Feedback sessions with fellow students and supervisors support the development of an art project that will be realised and publicly shown in the second semester of the second year.

Specific conditions

Approved compulsory assignments are valid in the current semester.

This course is offered to incoming exchange students and could be taught in English.
