Content
- Climate and society's guidelines that affect the construction industry
- Introduction to building information modelling and information management in the construction industry
- Digital trading processes, importance and challenges
- Data and information security and data quality
- Introduction of business planning and semantic technology
- Basics of parametric design
- New types of IT systems recommended
- ISO 19650 (standard for managing information throughout the life cycle of a structure using BIM)
- Life cycle focused requirements setting and information management based on the ISO 19650 standard series related to subjects / roles Linking the digitalisation of the construction industry's importance to sustainability (economy and environment)
- Data flow, interaction and sharing of digital building information
- Modelling principles including object orientation
- Properties, definitions
- Intelligence in modelling
- Level of information need and information requirements, cf. ISO 19650
- Group work related to the agreed research question (strives to be done by the students having different roles)
Learning outcomes
Etter endt emne skal studenten kunne: Kunnskap:
- Forklare og gjøre rede for sentral BIM-teori og BIM-begreper.
- Forklare BIM-tankesett knyttet til BIM-problemstillinger i samfunnet, BIM-prosesser og aktuelle verktøy og metoder innen fagfeltet.
- Gjengi og drøfte samhandling og digital dataflyt innen bygg- og anleggsbransjen.
- Redegjøre for ulike samhandlingsmetoder og hvordan BIM kan benyttes i disse.
- Forstå og fortolke praktisk BIM-kunnskap som er relevante for byggherrer, arkitekter, rådgivende ingeniører og entreprenører og byggvareprodusenter.
- Vite forskjellen mellom proprietær BIM og åpen BIM og når man kan eller bør bruke det ene eller det andre. - Redegjøre for relevante BIM standarder. Ferdigheter:
- Utarbeide gode rapporter og annet presentasjonsmateriell med tilhørende kildehenvisninger knyttet til prosjektarbeid.
- Anvende BIM-terminologi til å presentere fagstoff.
- Kunne bruke innsynsløsninger (IFC-Viewer) for å betrakte datafiler.
- Anvende teoretisk og praktisk BIM-kunnskap til å løse fagrelaterte utfordringer.
Generell kompetanse:
- Forstå viktigheten av planlegging og samhandling ved ulike typer BIM-prosjekter.
- Vise selvstendighet og samarbeidsevne, samt evne til refleksjon.
- Etablere grunnleggende forståelse for hvordan tverrfaglige BIM-prosjekt kan planlegges og gjennomføres.
Teaching methods
Net-based activities (webinars, videos, guiding meetings) and classroom learning with one 2 days start-up session at Gjoevik (together with BIM1001), as well as supervised project tasks at the campus (group work).
Online activities (webinars, videos, adapted resources online, supervision meetings) and / or classroom teaching / supervision with a 2-day start-up meeting and project assignment (group work).
Supervision of agreed group-based project assignments (preferably interdisciplinary with different roles. Assignment delimitation must be agreed with course coordinators.
A joint finnishing day with group presentations, questions and discussions with everyone is present.
