External practice 1

Topics will vary depending on the company. Study and practice location. Topics that should be included is the manufacture and production planning, production, quality assurance procedures and systems, cleaning procedures, raw material processing and finished product inspection. Health, safety and security procedures should also be included. During practice it should be focus on sustainable innovation possibiities.

Knowlege - the students:

• will be able to relate theoretical knowledge from the study to the practice field
• can discuss and assess sustainable innovation opportunities
• can discuss and assess current health, environment and safety (HES) aspects.

Skills - the students:

• fullfill a practice in a company that is relevant to their study.
• can reflect on practice in a supplementary written report

Competence - the students:

• will gain insight into different workspaces and enterpice culture in a company adapted to the study
• are able to understand and apply relevant terminology for current field of study

Education methods: Three weeks of internship in a relevant company, summing up to 120 hours. The work place shall be approved by the department before starting the internship. A daily log of activities should be delivered along with the final report. The internship report should be specific for each company. The tasks are set up in consultation between student, supervisor and the company. Students will write a log for each working day. A total work load of 200 hours is expected.

Mandatory requirements: 90% attendance is required. Submitted and approved practice report. Oral presentation of the practice report to fellow students in the subject and sensors.
