Dynamic Biogeography

The course will be concerned with biogeographical processes and patterns at different scales, both in time and space. Subjects covered include the dynamic of immigrating species, island biogeography, meta population dynamics, biogeographical trends, etc. BI 3034 includes one excursion. Runs every second year, first time autumn 2008.

On completion of the course the students should be familiar with biogeographical processes and patterns at different scales, both in time and space.

Lectures: 10 hours
Group work/seminar: 15 hours, mandatory
Excursion: ca 1-2 weeks, mandatory
