Læringsutbytte - Kunnskap:

The students have knowledge about medical microbiology and the microorganisms' relations to illness.   

Læringsutbytte - Ferdigheter:

The students have technical skill to identify bacteria.  

Læringsutbytte - Kompetanse:

The students impart about the look of bacteria, the ability to cause illness and methods to detect bacteria. Students will learn basic theoretical and practical knowledge of medical microbiology, and understand why and how microorganisms can cause illness.

Pedagogiske metoder:

Theoretical part: Lectures and compulsory group work. Compulsory presentation in class.Practical part: Compulsory laboratory work (12 hours).  

Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:

Compulsory laboratory work (100%).

Compulsory laboratory written reports and oral report.

1 compulsory presentation for the class and compulsory attendance during the students presentation and the laboratory theory (80%).
