About this course

Content

The course deals with the understanding of physical fitness and performance focusing on endurance, strength, and technique. The course integrates theories within physiology, biomechanics, and motor control to understand physical fitness and performance at various levels, ranging from inactive individuals to elite athletes.

Learning outcomes

The student can discuss research-based knowledge on aspects of motor control, biomechanics and physiology related to physical fitness and performance, as well on the factors that influence physical fitness and performance.
The student can critically evaluate and apply theories and methods related to physical fitness and performance.

Teaching methods

Up to 42 hours lectures/exercises/group work.
