Signal Analysis and Measurement in the Laboratory

This course gives students basic theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the use of laboratory based methods for the investigation of human movement with respect to data collection, analyses and presentation. Methods to measure movement, energy uptake and muscle activation will be taught practically by using laboratory equipment and signal analyses programs.

The student has knowledge and skills in the use of laboratory based methods for the investigation of human movement, including data collection, signal analysis and the presentation of data. The student can use methodological, physiological, motor control, anatomical and biomechanical knowledge to get valid measurements, including selecting appropriate equipment, data collection protocol and strategy for signal analysis.
