Bachelor's Thesis in Human Movement Science

During the course, students shall, in groups of 2-3 persons, produce a written report based on a predetermined topic. Through lectures and group supervision, students will be taught in literature search and essay writing. The essay constitutes the examination and shall be between 4000 and 5000 words.

Knowledge

The student

• has basic theoretical and methodological knowledge of a limited topic in movement science
• can formulate, explore and answer a scientific problem
• knowledge of various sources, relevant subject databases and guidelines for the use of sources in their own work

Skills

The student can

• connect theory and empiricism in movement science research work
• present and discuss relevant theory and empirical writing in a precise and logical way

General competence

The student

• masters basic requirements in academic writing with regard to being able to argue for academic positions, choices and priorities, as well as follow standards for source reference, citation use and layout for reference list
• can integrate previously acquired knowledge and be able to acquire new knowledge in solving a problem
• can plan, carry out and complete a written assignment at the scientific level with a bachelor's degree
