About this course

Content

The course provides an overview of the public agencies that are central to health promotion and the role that the various agencies possess. The overview and understanding of laws and regulations related to health promotion is a key issue, and how this affects the organization of local health promotion in municipalities and counties. Furthermore, various public health measures related to physical activity and possible effects of these are presented and evaluated, and the role of movement scientist in this line of work will be discussed.

  • assess how one's own professional competence can be used in public health work

Teaching methods

The course has lectures throughout parts of the semester. Up to 9 whole days during the semester with lectures, exercises and group work.
