Physical Activity in Rehabilitation

The course will include the use of physical activity in the treatment and rehabilitation of various health conditions and diseases. Disease Specific effects and adaptation of physical activity for different patient groups are central themes in teaching. Practical activities, exercises and demonstrations will be used to illustrate the use of physical activity in the treatment and rehabilitation.

Students have knowledge about how physical activity and exercise can be adapted and used in the treatment of coronary heart disease, cancer, musculoskeletal and mental disorders and age-related diseases, as well as in the rehabilitation of movement disorders. Students will be able to apply knowledge about health conditions and disases to plan, implement and evaluate physical activity as part of rehabilitation.
