About this course

Content

The course will draw on BARN3201 and BARN3202, and prepare the students for their work with the master's thesis. The various stages of the research process will be discussed, such as defining research questions, how to make use of acquired knowledge of theory and methodology, analysis etc. During the course the students will develop a master's project. Each student's project will be discussed in plenum. By the end of the course, a final project description must be submitted.

Learning outcomes

- Provide students with knowledge and skills to prepare and design scientific research projects.
- The students will develop a research design, including an empirical study, which will then form the basis for the master's thesis.

Teaching methods

Total seminar hours: approximately 18 hours. Form of assessment: approved oral presentation and project description.
