Archaeological Production of Knowledge I

The course gives basic insight to different kinds of source material that give an understanding to how life and society went through social, economic and cultural changes from the past to our own era. The course emphases on problematizing and argumentation, with relevant theory, methods and analysis. The course will also focus on the interaction between archaeology as a discipline, and the present society. The course content for ARK2001 forms an important basis for ARK2003 Bachelor thesis in archaeology.

Lectures, seminars, written assignments, and visits to exhibitions. Mandatory activities: Approved obligatory assignment.
