Common Literary Syllabus - Modern Literature

The curriculum consists of about ten works, minimum three theoretical and minimum five fictional. The course instruction will be in collaboration with ALIT2203.

Candidates will have obtained the following general competency after successfully completing this course:

- has specialised knowledge on a limited or specialised topic from 1800 till the present

- understands and reflects on literature in a more significant aesthetic, historical, social and cultural context

- can disseminate the academic content of the course critically and independently both orally and in writing

- can present and reflect on their acquired knowledge orally

Lectures and seminar. Active student participation is expected.

1-3 compulsory assignments: Approved reading list. Approved written and/or oral assignment(s) and/or test(s) (determined by lecturer).
