Interdisciplinary innovation

The course focuses on development of skills to do innovation work in interdisciplinary teams and in various contexts, with a particular focus on the context of entrepreneurship. Through the course students will get insight and practical experience with product and service development. A central aspect in the course will be to develop an understanding of one's own role in an innovation process, both as participant and process manager.

In the course students will undertake feasibility studies for their own business ideas, or ideas that has their origin from industry, cocreation in public sector or entrepreneurship.

Knowledge:

After the course, students will have foundational knowledge of sustainable product and service development. The students are expected to have insight into what needs to be in place to success in innovation work in interdisciplinary teams, as well as to have insight into different contexts for innovation processes.

Skills:

Students will get practical experience in participating in a product and service development process in interdisiplinary teams. Students will develop skills for collaboration and process management, and must be able to reflect well on own role in team and innovation processes. In the course students will apply previous skills and knowledge of business development in interdisiplinary projects.

Competence:

After finishing the course, students should be able to both participate in and lead innnovation processes. Students are expected to have a good understanding for how one facilitates for collaboration and change processes, as well as to how they can bring their inisight on business development into interdisciplinary teams.
