Internship

In this course, students will have an internship in an organization. Through the internship students will apply knowledge that they have acquired in earlier semesters. Through authentic work tasks, reflection and guidance, the students will acquire an understanding of methods, problems to be addressed, processes and tools in working life relevant to the field of study. In the seminars, sharing experiences from the internship, understanding innovation processes in organizations, and reflection upon competence and career development will be a central topics.

After doing the internship course, students should be able to:

• Reflect on their own personal development as an employee and about their ambitions for future career development.
• Apply theoretical knowledge from the studies in an authentic work situation and see the connection between theory and practice.
• Understand central work tasks in the organization and be able to analyze the organizations business model.
• Identify and describe innovation processes and sustainability work in the internship organization and identify opportunities for development.
• Communicate clearly and professionally oral and written both within the organization and with external relations. .

The main activity in the course is the internship in an organization that is relevant for the study program. Students are in the internship organization two days a week throughout the semester.

There will be three mandatory internship seminars on campus during the internship period.
