Innovation and intrapreneurship

The course gives an introduction to innovation through theory and practical examples. Sustainability is a key aspect in this, but the course will also cover topics such as:

• Different types of innovation
• Sources of innovation
• Innovation strategy and innovation processes
• Corporate entrepreneurship and innovation networks
• Innovation and firm performance

After the completion of the course, students will be able to

• Explain key theoretical concepts in innovation and intrapreneurship
• Assess innovation activities of different types of organizations
• Apply the key theoretical concepts regarding innovation and intrapreneurship to an existing organization
• Present ideas in a convincing manner
• Reflect on the different roles one has in group situations

Lectures, open discussions, exercises, group work, guidance and presentations. Lectures will be in English.

The course has mandatory assignments and compulsory work may include mandatory attendance. Details on compulsory work are given at the start of the semester.
